How to Edit a Survey

Editing a survey or adding question to survey is easy. Simply follow the steps given below.

1.  From the Content section in the main navigation bar, click on Surveys

2.  Click the Edit Questions link under the Edit column (in the row of the survey for which you wish to add or edit questions)

3.  Edit the name of the survey in the Survey text entry box.

4.  To add a new question, click the Add Question Here button.

The Add New Question dialog will be displayed.

5.  Select the type of the question from the drop down list.  The available options are:

•   Single Choice – This appears as a list of options from which the customer must select one. The options are         entered in the “Answer Options” box with each response on its own line.

•   Multiple Choice – this appears as a list of options from which the customer can select multiple. The options        are entered in the “Answer Options” box with each response on its own line.

•   Ratings Grid - This has a horizontal axis (for choices – e.g. bad, good, very good) and a vertical axis for various criteria the options are applied against.

•   Comment Box -This is for an open-ended question where the customer can provide input.

•   Form - This is for collecting a series of information fields such as Name, Phone, Email etc. The values are entered in “answer options” with each value on its own line.

•   Net Promoter Score. This question is not editable.

6.  In the Answer Choices section, click the New Val button to add new answer option. Enter the new answer in the text entry box.

7. Specify whether the answer is required to the question or not by checking or unchecking the box in the  Require an answer to this question (Optional) field. This will display a generic error message that is required when the user skips the question.

8.  Specify whether the question can be displayed in the public survey reports placeholder or not by checking or un-checking the box in the Public in web reports placeholder (Optional) field.

9.  Specify whether to add other additional comments field or not by checking or un-checking the box in the Add "Other" or a comment (Optional) field. By checking this box, the respondents will see a text box to add an extra comment to clarify their answer.

10.  Click the Add Question button.

A new question will be added.
